Who we are

Professional Counseling Associates is a nonprofit behavioral health provider serving rural communities across New Mexico. As the public-facing name of the Greater Santa Rosa Council on Alcoholism, we have proudly offered compassionate, affordable mental health and substance use services for over a decade.

Rooted in the belief that every person deserves support, healing, and dignity, we specialize in outpatient counseling, case management, and telehealth services. Our team is committed to meeting individuals and families where they are—whether that’s in our local offices or from the comfort of home—so they can take meaningful steps toward recovery and well-being.

As a Medicaid-certified provider, we work to eliminate barriers to care by serving clients regardless of income, insurance status, or background. Our services are designed to be culturally responsive and community-oriented, with a strong emphasis on building trust, supporting resilience, and honoring the unique strengths of New Mexico’s rural residents.
